What is a Nonwoven Cleaning Cloth?
The broad definition of the nonwoven fabric is a sheet or net structure in which fibers or filaments (or through a perforated film) are entangled by mechanical, thermal, or chemical means. Post-processing and unique structural properties provide some potentially beneficial results, such as porosity that can achieve gas sterilization. Non-woven wipes provide an economical option because the manufacturing process does not require washing. The cellulose and the synthetic blend provide additional absorption capacity for spill cleanup and viscous liquid removal. Generally, non-woven wipes are used in clean rooms with a cleanliness level of ISO 6 or higher.
What is a knitted (woven) cleanroom wipe?
Woven wipes, also known as knitted wipes, contribute to pollution control in critical environments. Woven fabrics are the highest quality cleanroom wipes on the market today. Low-level NVR and excellent particle removal capabilities are ideal for critical-level environments. Unlike non-woven fabrics, woven cleanroom fabrics are knitted or looped from monofilament, continuous polyester, or other synthetic materials. The result is that the cleanroom wipes have strong tensile strength and will not fall off. The least amount of linting and particle generation is in accordance with ISO Class 3 and higher.
