Check Nonwoven Cleaning Cloth must have the following characteristics because they either clean the surface to the final cleanliness or make final contact with the surface after the final cleaning.
Cleanliness-the check cloth must be at least as clean as the most important cloth used in the cleaning process. In fact, it should be the cleanest wipe. Therefore, it must be cleaned in a cleanroom to remove all particulate, non-volatile (NVR) and ionic contaminants. Preferably, it should have a sealed edge or a sealed-border, because this is where the wipe comes off.
Absorbency-Check that the absorbent capacity of the wipe must equal or exceed all other wipes used in the cleaning process so that it can be used as the last cleaning and capture any contaminants left by the previous wipe.
Durability-The wipes must not fade and resist any chemical or mechanical (abrasive) erosion. Pure 100% monofilament polyester is perfect for this task, which is why it is used in the cleanest cleanroom wipes.
Visibility-particles and contaminants on the wiper must be clearly visible. Dark contaminants can be clearly seen on a typical white wipe. However, to see all other residual contaminants, you need to use the darkest rag. Blue wipes are not enough.
The correct size rag must be large enough (minimum 6"x6"; preferably 9"x9") for normal operation
